Yes, me, too, have been working, almost breeding out my own series, set thirty years beyond the Halo universe. Two years since the original Chronicles of MCconto series, that's an unfinished precedent of this series.
In the old series, it was sixty or eighty years beyond Halo's original storyline, a world where humans have regained control of dozens of systems and many planets. The Covenant stroke at a important rich colony, and the UNSC forces sent to the area were crushed. On return, they had a few days until the Covenant struck with immense power at one of the central hub planets of an entire northwestern galaxy, close to unchartered space. They took the well - defended hub colony, and moved on while survivors chased to spread the word in time to defend the next target while planets were taken and destroyed among them.
Well, Beyond Halo has it's changes, but it's set 30 years after Halo. When Sentinel, a giant hub of space stations, one central military planet and two construction halo's, was attacked by a enourmous fleet of unknown origin, presidents and leaders of various large colonies blamed the pirate forces, because they were able to build a fleet of ships to destroy such capital. When Cornelius Kythera arrives at Novus Prime, one of the most important hubs of human Galactic Intelligent space. Called for duty, he and his battlecruiser "Deliverance" and crew were called to join the massive assault on the pirate forces to set an authorical role. Many treaties and rules were passed aside, especially when the admiral has atrocious murderous behaviors during the campaign. But everything changes when a third party arrives at the scene...
As said, it's a big project, and as I'm a busy College goer and head admin here, I won't be posting it very soon. In the meantime, tell me what you think about this.
