Okay, a few rules I've got to tell to make sure i've got something to direct people to if they don't listen. Or for those who are smart enough to read it first before getting in possible trouble...
1. Give constructive critisism.
You're helping nobody, not even your post count by just saying "lol! 8/10" or something. I've seen it before on other forums, and the creator never learned anything from it.
Something along the lines of "Well, first of all, I liked the use of color, but here and there it wasn't as good. Maybe you should try to fill up that white blank image so it's more colorful. Keep trying. 6/10" for example. Better than the first, right? Still took just a little bit of time.
2. Be respectful.
It's one of the basic rules, but also things I've seen with other GFX boards i've visited. "You really suck, never make this crap again!" isn't respectful, and scares away someone. It doesn't help him/her in any way.
Okay, I'll be warning you when you do, but I'd rather have it not happening at all.
Saying "I didn't really like your work. You have a lot to learn to become good, but don't give up." That's a lot better.
3. Don't rip off anyone's work.
What someone creates is his or her own intellectual property, and you are not allowed to rip it off. If you want to use it, ask the creator if you can, or ask him to help you create something along that line for you. It even saves you work, and gives the other one something to do, plus you won't have trouble with other people.
Follow these rules, and we can make and keep this section and the whole of the forum a good place to be.
