Am I allowed to start threads? Well, do you?
I go rockclimbing, and that counts as a sport because there are competitions(ja!). I find it much better than nasty GROUP games.

Of course. When it is possible, you are allowed to. No holding hands here in what you may or may not do.
Less popular? Hmm... not sure. I'll get back to that...

Does sitting playing video games count as a sport? Peace! In that case, I'd say Administrating this Forum. Man, can this work be hard sometimes. If not, every time. Well, I don't mind too much, as long as it isn't wasted time. - JC

Well I am a big bass fisherman. We compeat in tournaments and win money from time to time. A lot of people consider that a sport.
I also do a lot of hunting......

Nice. yeah, I agree with that. I know a lot of people doing bass fishing, but that's maybe because we live near a big river going all the way through the country...

Just make sure you don't hunt too much. No need to exterminate all the deers, bears, rabbits and all other fellas in the forest, now do you? - JC

If you count marching band as a sport, then yes, I do participate in a sport. I also play volleyball, but I suppose that is one of the more mainstream sports.

Well, it's not fully mainstream. It's more mainstream not doing any sports. And I can know, since I've got to live with 100% stereotypical kids who are a bit mad. Aint they all. Well, I'm seriously a fan of soccer alright. My brothers' in the honor team of our city. Well, it's not so much -- 18.000 people, but through - and through Soccer fans. And yeah, it's a city. - JC

Sports? Me? *falls over laughing*
Haha! That's a good one! Hee! Ho ho! Ha!
But seriously, I'm not a very big sports fan. I walk and jog a bit, maybe play a game of football when the family gets together, but that's about the extent of it. I'm a programmer! What do you expect?
However, I guess you could call shooting a sport. My dad collects antique rifles and muskets and he lets me shoot them sometimes. I should scan and host my targets some time so I can show them to you. I've gotten about 7 or 8 bulls eyes in 6 targets, so I guess I'm not bad. Most of my shots are in the black, and I got a bullseye on my first time shooting (a .22 - not to powerful and easy to control). Meh.
I've also tried rock climbing and archery at camp and they were pretty fun.

I see what you mean. You're not really into the tougher, fanatical sports. Well, it's good to see you've got some marksman skills there. I guess that's from hours of Halo (2) with friends and online. I've tried it myself, but no bullseyes. Just a few hits on the cards, not really much of interest. I think around 70% actually hit the targets, and of which about 10% got a bit close to the bullseye. - JC

I've been told I'm very good at shotgun shooting, hitting most, if not all, clay pigeons. But aside from that, I'm not exactly good at many shooting sports, although my archery is getting better. Rock climbing is definitely fun, as well. I enjoy playing sports, but I'm not necessarily good at them...

Well, I don't think that Halo had any bearing on my shooting skills. It probably helped with my eye-hand coordination, but I dont' think that a video game can ever compare to actually firing a gun. They are in no way similar.
What kind of gun were you shooting? The gun I was using that I told you about was a Savage .22, 2003 model. Standard .22 JHP (or something like that - might have been FMJ) cartriges. I've also fired a Springfield 1862 rifle, a Martini-Henry, an M1 Garand (the only semi-auto rifle), a Russian bolt action, a German Mouser, a Swedish Mouser, a post WWI Russian pistol (I forget what they're called, the ones with the cylinder) , and a modern .45.

I think it was more a hunter rifle, but maybe it's comparable with the M1 Garand, yeah. Mostly massive wood, no real cool eye features. Looked a bit like those on the shooting ranges of amusementparks and such...Can't really find the name for that annual thingy. I know it weighed more than I thought they should weigh. - JC

Martial arts? Sounds great. What kind of martial arts did you do? Or is that the sport itself? I know a few basic rules for hunting, but I never do it, since I don't have a rifle and there aren't wounded animals around. - JC
