Original Forum Rules Done By Acer
New Version Of Forum Rules By JC - NomadWarrior And Modified By Acer
1.) No spamming please! Let's keep all boards clean from spam. Thanks!
2.) Don't clone or hijack threads.
3.) Do not multiple post (double/triple post). The "Modify/Edit" button is there for you, so make USE of it.
4.) Do not make any use of racist, sexist, and prejudice remarks on Severance! Making fun of these people isn't a good thing to do and will ruin our community if doing so.
5.) Watch out a bit when posting threads, that you put them in the right board. It saves work for the staff of Severance and no one would complain about it. Putting them into incorrect categories will make "certain" threads move into that specific board.
6.) Don't excessively attack any of the staff. We're trying our best to improve Severance, and while we can take a lot of critism, respect that we're doing the work for you.
7.) If you think it's needed, you can always start a new thread. It'll save work for staff if you don't 'clone' a thread, as in making a thread that talks about the very same as an another thread. Still, it's your call and your choice.
8.) Offtopicness is fine as long as it doesn't escalate too much. If you think it's neccesary, you can either start a new thread to talk about that other topic, or Private Message a staff member to split the topic from the off topic posts to a new thread.
9.) Watch out when using sharp "bright" colors like green and yellow. They are hard to read and can give pain to the eyes of some, so don't BLIND people please.
10.) Profanity. Watch out a bit with using it. I've lowered the censors because I trust you won't abuse it. Only two or three words are censored, but if you think the censors are too low, you can start a poll to see what words should be censored and which are acceptable. This topic would fit in the Serious Discussion board, in my opinion. Swearing should be reduced at ALL times. This is a privilege, not a right. Don't overdo/abuse too much of it please.
11.) Do not flame other people. Everyone has enough brains to enter a heated discussion, but please stay out of personal remarks. Flame Wars, as their called usually, are weak discussions and only damaged everyone around you, as your friends. In the line of such event, all staff have to act, and would almost force the staff to ban or warn people -- Something really wouldn't want to do. Arguments like debates are a different story.
12.) Do not use any types of pornography/nudity images. Why show them off? I cannot accept to let this happen as it is against the ProBoards Terms of Service Rules and younger people will be shocked if seen. If any outside sources find out such "Bad" pictures, this board will risk imminent deactivation and deletion, so we don't want to see unnecessary images. Thank you!
13.) Try to use correct spelling, grammar, and puncuation marks. We have a few tools to help you there, like the Spell Check. Don't worry though, bad grammar says nothing about you, but it could be harder to find out what you're actually saying, so please try your best and TYPE properly!
14.) No viruses or hacks or even chain letters of any kind. I cannot stand an attack on our members in Severance, and with it, their privacy and information on their computers. They are PROHIBITED to use here!
15.) Make use of these Forum Rules and have fun posting at Severance! Don't abuse it in a childish manner please.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope that's clear enough. Most of it are basic rules of forums and life itself. I don't want to close everything with rules, it's just the things that are naturally. The old rules were made by Acer, who has a different point of view than me. - JC
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Forum Rules above WILL get changed/modified. Please watch out for those changes when done so. Thank you!
Also, if you have any new rule suggestions, please post those in the Feedback & Suggestions board! Thanks!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Some of these Forum Rules have been changed or updated. Please look into them if you have the time! Some rules have been changed to "fit" them better.
